A bit of help to support you (during December and beyond) to deal with the overwhelm from the holidays and daily life. Even when things are going well, the added pressures can make it all seem too (2) much. Fortunately, Jin Shin Jyutsu offers ways for us to feel better.
Hi, everybody, happy December. Welcome to the silly season. Well, that’s what one of my friends calls it.

Causes for Overwhelm
In the silly season and throughout our lives, we can get overwhelmed by
- being too busy
- having too many things to do
- having too many errands to run
- having too many people that we’re missing.
So I’d like to share with you a quick tip that you can use to help yourself when it’s too much. And I was interested, I was looking through my book, one of my books, and when I talk about Jin Shin Jyutsu, I’m drawing on a lot of ancient wisdom. But it’s also very simple things that you can use to help yourself feel better, right now, today.
So when things become too much, we can hold the part of our body known as safety energy lock 2. This is an energy centre on and in our body that helps to support us to have wisdom and to filter out all the noise and to get into our own self and to do a little bit of nurturing.
So if you’re finding that things are too much, why don’t you try out holding your 2s. Your 2s are located on the back of your hips, just at the top. If you hold them and just relax, you may find your tension easing. We have runners do that after their run, because their exertion is too much.
Now if you’re not happy to hold the back of your hips, you can also hold just your ring finger (left or right), because that helps with the same kind of energies.

There are likely other things that you do, on a daily basis, to help yourself – that you do intuitively. If you want to maximise the benefits, consider these helpful tips on the self-care page.
