Some days seem far from harmony and perfect rhythm. Things don’t always go as planned. It sometimes seems impossible – but things can change in a single moment.
Days in our lives
First, some days there is perfect rhythm.
- Our body feels great.
- We can do the things we want.
- We sense harmony in the universe.
Second, on other days, the discord clangs.
- Our body is tired.
- Even the little things are difficult.
- Challenges block our perception of harmony.
Third, we can gently shift days towards harmony.
- Each day contains 1,440 minutes.
- Each minute holds an opportunity to change our experience.
What makes the difference?
The three types of days can come separately or all together. For me, today began with discord (the first kind of day), and is ending with harmony (the second kind of day).
At the start of my day, allergies plagued my eyes and pressures all seemed too much. Very much a day where discord clanged very loudly in my being. I took a break – to have a breath, drink a glass of water, have a healthy breakfast, and ask for help. These things helped a bit – but I still needed more balance and harmony in my life.
As I often do, I turned to Jin Shin Jyutsu. The universe must have been listening because I found the recording from the 7th June 2020 where Jennifer Holmes (an instructor for Jin Shin Jyutsu Inc.) was talking about balance in our lives and how it relates to SEL6. These SELs exist on the sole of our foot – one on the left foot and one on the right foot.
Shifting to harmony with Jin Shin Jyutsu
Working with balance and inner knowledge. Re-evaluating my priorities for the day led me to doing the things I really needed to do, and practicing self-care for the rest of the time.
It’s amazing how Jin Shin Jyutsu can meet our needs, needs that we weren’t even consciously aware of. Today I worked with my breath, I harmonised my SEL6 , and I found increased balance and harmony – even maybe a bit of that perfect rhythm with Jin Shin Jyutsu.
